Grown in Volendam, Paraguay

Fresh blueberries, grown right here.

Gaia is a small family farm bringing Paraguay its first hand-picked blueberries and sharing every harvest as it happens.

We planted blueberries where no one else had. Now we are growing the taste for them, one harvest, one basket, one neighbour at a time.

  • Freshly picked

Hand-picked at exactly the right ripeness and sold within days, never flown in from the other side of the world.

  • Grown in Volendam

Grown on our own farm in the Paraguayan countryside, tended by the family that planted the first bushes.

  • New to Paraguay

Among the first blueberries grown for the local market: a fruit you can finally buy fresh, close to home.

What we do

We pick the fruit the same day you eat it

Blueberries have a reputation as a cold-climate fruit, which is why Paraguay stayed off the map for years. But there are low-chill varieties that adapt well to our soil, and in San Pedro we have the two things the plant asks for: loose, acidic earth and good drainage.

What was missing was never the climate. It was someone willing to plant and wait three years for the bush to bear fruit. That is what we did, and today we hand-pick every two or three days all season long.
